Hurricane Katrina Update.

Eveyones I know is alive and well. This is the first day I have gotten internet here. Our power has been on and off... but there was no significant damage to the house... other than our chimney got knocked off.
As for the rest of Slidell... they weren't quite so lucky. over half was flooded, and I mean like FLOODED, feet and feet of water. Lots of my friends are moving away or have the possibility of moving away. Lots of people are without jobs... and even homes.
I'm very blessed to be here right now with power, AC, running water, and even internet access. God truely amazes me time after time.

Hurricane Katrina

Stuck here in Florida after Hurricane Katrina came pummeling through Lousianna, and my home. Pray for us all. We can't accurately assess the damage yet because no one can get in or out of there. Major flooding in New Orleans for sure. Lots and Lots of flooding in Slidell, (where I live) but maybe not in my house. Possibly just some trees on our house, and some wind damage. (at least this is what we are praying for.) but Many MANY people have lost their homes, and many have even lost their lives.
God help us all.
